Moroccan Baby Stew
My 9 month old daughter loved this. I love to make new things for her and introduce her to new flavours and textures. I would prefer it if my kid never eats off the kids menu so I believe it starts early.
What you need:
1 Carrot
1 Celery Stalk
1 Potato
1/4 cup Red Lentils
1 cup of water
1 tsp of olive oil
Cumin
Turmeric
Salt and Pepper
What you do:
Finely chop all the veggies. I used a slap chop (it is a great product for making baby food).
In a sauce pan, place oil and veggies and saute till veggies are slightly soft, about 5 minutes. Add lentils and stir for one minute. Add water and a dash of cumin and tumeric. Add salt and pepper to your liking. Bring to boil and lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes until veggies are soft.
Great for freezing!
